Our Commissions

UGARD

Our association organizes its activities based on its anti-hierarchical structure and the belief that young people should be part of the change they wish to see. In this regard, our volunteers are approached equally when it comes to taking responsibility.

Various commissions have been established to ensure the sustainability of UGARD’s institutional structure.

Event Development

The purpose of this commission is to develop and plan our association’s events by giving importance to the opinions and needs of the members.

What Does the Event Development Commission Do?

  • It plays a primary role in ensuring that all stages of the events organized within UGARD, including the planning process, proceed smoothly.
  • It works in coordination with the Communication and Media Commission so that events can be published on all social media channels.
  • After the events end, it prepares surveys to collect feedback from participants.
  • It organizes promotional activities at universities, youth forums, and social responsibility clubs to ensure that young people become aware of our association and take part in it.
  • Since our association has a vision based on diversity, it invites inspiring speakers who have achieved success in different fields such as the public sector, private sector, and social entrepreneurship to our events.

Communication and Media

The purpose of this commission is to manage our association’s internal and external communication channels and to increase the visibility of ongoing / planned activities.

What Does the Communication and Media Commission Do?

  • It manages UGARD’s social media accounts.
  • It produces strong visual and audiovisual content that reflects the vision and mission of our association.
  • It follows special days and weeks, prepares posters, and writes texts suitable for these posters.
  • When training is organized on any subject, it carries out the certification process and ensures that certificates of participation are delivered to participants.
  • It designs the content on our association’s website in a way that is accessible to everyone, and publishes events, e-newsletters, and announcements on the website simultaneously, as on social media networks.
  • It carries out work to increase the visibility of our association.
  • It prepares an annual activity report containing all events held within UGARD and publishes it on the website.

Project

The purpose of this commission is to produce projects that are in line with the mission and vision of our association and to ensure that these projects are disseminated.

What Does the Project Commission Do?

  • It follows grant calls open to applications from civil society organizations in order to produce projects that are in line with the vision and mission of our association.
  • It writes projects and prepares the project design in order to obtain suitable grants for project development.
  • After the planned project activities are prepared, it arranges the budget and monitors expenses.
  • If the grant application is accepted, it forms a sub-team within the Project Commission to work on that project and ensures the necessary coordination.
  • It reports every stage of the projects carried out and shares the relevant report with other commission members after the project is completed.
  • It works jointly with the Communication and Media Commission to disseminate project outputs.
  • For projects requiring cooperation, it researches civil society organizations with partnership potential and conducts the necessary meetings.
  • It searches for training programs to support the personal and professional development of association members.

Volunteering

The purpose of establishing this commission is to carry out activities that strengthen the volunteering motivation of those who apply to serve as volunteers within the association and of members who are already volunteers.

What Does the Volunteering Commission Do?

  • It manages preliminary interviews with members and volunteers within UGARD.
  • Following the preliminary interviews, it designs the process for volunteers to join the commission they wish to be involved in.
  • It organizes orientation for members and volunteers regarding how the work carried out is conducted.
  • It observes the performance and motivation of volunteers and prepares reports on this.
  • It meets with volunteers who do not attend meetings on time or do not meet expectations to discuss the reasons that arise and takes the necessary actions regarding this.
  • It cooperates with the Event Commission to strengthen communication between volunteers and members.
  • It carries out promotional activities at universities, various civil society organizations, and youth organizations to increase UGARD’s visibility.
  • It sends congratulatory messages or low-cost gifts to volunteers on special occasions such as birthdays and starting a new job.
